We're Hosting a Muddy Puddles Welly Walk
April showers bring... muddy puddles! So it’s time to break in those wellies! Rain or shine, we are joining Peppa Pig in supporting the Muddy Puddles Project for pediatric cancer research by hosting a Welly Walk fundraiser.
A welly walk is as simple as it sounds. Taking a stroll outside in your favorite wellies (rain boots). Various welly walk fundraisers will be taking place across the country, enabling youngsters to enjoy the outdoors in a fun way that embraces a beloved childhood activity, while honoring all of the children who are currently battling cancer and unable to enjoy such simple pleasures.
100% of all fundraising will directly benefit the Muddy Puddles Project. The project was inspired by five-year old Ty Campbell, a little boy who absolutely LOVED Peppa Pig and dreamed of jumping in muddy puddles just like her when his cancer was cured.
At its core, The Muddy Puddles Project is a vehicle to celebrate kids being kids in honor of those who can't; but it is also a fundraising platform for the Ty Louis Campbell (TLC) Foundation in support of childhood cancer research. After Ty lost his battle with cancer, his parents committed to finding ways to fund innovative research geared toward safer, more effective treatment of various childhood cancers. It is the perfect vehicle to engage children in philanthropy because it encourages them to have fun while doing good.
